I thought you guys and gals might find this story entertaining:
I was watching this FUGIO cent on ebay a few weeks ago and I was going to snipe it but I missed out and the auction ended. I was mad because the coin went for QUITE a bit cheaper than what I was willing to pay. I wanted to know what the winner's highest bid was just so I would have known what I would have had to bid at. I contacted him, and he writes me back a number that was far lower than my bid and we began having email exchange about the coin and other coins in general. He actually put in that really low bid thinking he wasn't going to win and was just as surprised as I was how cheaply it went for. We chatted for a week or two casually and I was enjoying the new coin friend I had made online.
Well, he writes me out of the blue that he might have an offer for me with the fugio. It seems a dealer friend of his had gotten a lower grade chain cent that he was going to get for a good price and he was going to be selling a bunch of his coins so that he could afford the new chain coin. He offered to sell me the Fugio at what he bought it for so he could get it out of his hands. (It hadn’t even arrived yet! His fugio purchase was an impulse buy he didn't think he was going to get anyway.) At first, I was skeptical of course because I know how crazy ebay can be. However, after thinking it over and chatting with him about it on the phone and through email, we agreed the safest way for us both to do it was a "buy it now" on ebay with paypal. (He is a paypal protected seller with excellent feedback.) Well, he got the auction ready, called me on the phone and I got it within two minutes of it being posted for his price plus shipping and handling and made a coin friend in the process! Pretty wild huh?

I've only had one crushing ****up on eBay, and I still haven't recovered
Had he simply emailed me and expressed a deep interest in the coin I would have sold it to him as it wasn't something I was particularly passionate about.
