Are the Lynch Jefferson's in the pop reports?

In another thread, the seller of these stated that they did have cert numbers, but when you look at how many of these sets there are and how many P mints are in the pop report it makes you wonder.

Are these more like the "MS69" silver eagles?

Perhaps another question is: were these coins graded with the same scrunity as all other pcgs coins? I don't know the answer, but I have some (I hope they are not true) suspicions.

Question: Is this a good example of the difference between bullion coins being completely collectible, and "fluff" coins that are the real "bull/yawn?"
  • Yes they are part of the general pop.

There only a few so far....

And yes they have cert numbers on the back of the coins, only the winner will have access to that info.

Good Luck! One set is closing in less than 2 days!

  • RegistryCoin yes they were as a matter of fact I'm going to take 2000 more to PCGS within the next few days MS-66 and MS-67's are hard to come by even with mint wrapped rolls.

I know you know bullion. Are the Lynch's legit? Do these coins affect the pops? Were they graded with integrity? For my edification, I am seriously interested in an honest answer. Thank you.
  • I dont get any special favors if that's what you're asking so far I've made the majority of the top pops and will continue to submit til I get a 68. So far MS-67 is the highest.

FYI I do much much more than bullion, I also do quarters and a host of other coins that my other dealer buddies push on my behalf.

    ...a discussion perhaps...
No, It wasn't tongue-in-cheek at all. I am really interested in your direct answers to the few questions, no guff.
  • Everything I get back from PCGS is legit trust me I do not get political favors, these are hard earned grades, hopefully I'll make a little something on them.

That's the best answer I can give you. (honestly)

So you submit the coins that get put in the "Lynch" holders? How do others get these special holders for their coins?

  • I submitted no less than 2000 coins so far for the JL project and will submit 2000 every 3 months til my commitment to an 8 coin set is complete. You have to be a dealer, and...... It'll cost you about 3 times more per submission, this will not assure you a top grade, this is why I submit as much as I do...

(Not to mention the costs of the actual coin from the US mint) And.... No I do not use bank rolled coins nor do I find them in spare change, I buy them directly from the US mint.

Trust me it gets rather expensive $15,000+ dollar invoices from PCGS is not a fun thing, but it's something that needs to be done to be in this type of business.
  • dbldie55 ask Stewart (the winner of the trip to vegas) how many coins I submitted April 14th for the JL project, he personally saw my massive submission. (over 2800 coins) in 1 day.

Hey Stewart if you read this...

Where's the pix of my viper buddy...

    I've yet to see them...
