coin photography: which kind of batteries do you like?

well, I plunged. trying a rotation of rechargable NIMH batteries. What do people like here?

    For coin photography I use the AC adapter.

    image me too...not that I take alot of pix of coins...but if i'm in the house I use the adapter too.

    I'll place the third vote for the AC adapter. Too much messing around with the batteries.

    I have 2 NiMH battery packs I alternate in my Nikon. One is always in the camera, and the other is nearby, fully charged. When the camera indicates a low battery, I swap them and recharge the weak one. Never bothered with an AC adapter - just another cord to get in the way.

    I have two batteries that have a slightly longer life than my original--one's charging while the other is shooting... I've never run out of power. I also have the battery the camera came with just in case image

    Is coin photography different than regular photography? Why would you need a different power source for coins than for anything else?

    My Sony Mavica uses a rechargable battery pack that recarges quickly enough.
