He's listed in the Set Registry as having started an 1981 Donruss set, which happens to include several of the California Angels I'm looking for in PSA 9 (and even one PSA 10). I've e-mailed him to see if he's willing to part with any of the Angels to help get my own set off the ground, but haven't heard back from him. Obviously, it's been a holiday weekend, so he might just be away--but I just wanted to see if anyone around here knew him or knew of him.

Cool! Thanks, Keith. I'm envious of this "lannyjr" guy, which is why I'm trying to track him down. He's got 10 of the 30 (including error variations) cards that I need for the set. I have an odd feeling he might be an Angels fan, too, which will likely make it harder to get him to part with some of his '81 set.

I'm sure the cards you're sending will be a big help, too, though, and you will certainly get credit for it when I start the set registry. Thanks again!

He's a surfer who likes to dabble here and there. Nice guy and very personable. He's told me all his cards are available at the right price.
I'd email him again in the next few days as he's always responded to me within a couple of days. Hope this helps.

Ah-ha! That's the kind of info I needed! Thanks for your help. I'll try him again at the end of the week. Hopefully we can work something out. His Donruss PSA 9s and 10s would be a big help to my goal.
