ANACS Cert numbers

It seems that ANACS cert numbers are purely sequential. At least, looking back at coins coming to market in the past few months, you see cert numbers gradually rising up to about 27xxxxx now (and a coin I graded many years ago was in the 500000 range). If this is true, and people are saying that ANACS has been getting tighter lately, then it stands to reason that there must be ranges of cert numbers at ANACS that are generally tighter or looser (similar to PCI with their different labels). Not that I have enough experience to know those ranges, of course.

Seem like a reasonable observation?

OK ... so the question is, does anyone have an opinion as to which ranges tend to be looser or tighter?

Your thinking seems logical enough but I've got no idea as to the peaks and valleys.

I don't believe they are completely sequential but they don't jump around as much as on the other services.

I received three back from them on Saturday. The numbers were in sequence. All three were Morgans, but all had different grades.
