Premium for a card #001/120?

I have a Mike Sweeney Omega card #001/120, was thinking about trading, should I look to get a little more out of it since it is #1? Any input would be helpful.

Cards numbered 001 of XXX or to the player's jersey number will usually be worth more to a fan/collector of that particular player, or if the player's a major star or superstar. Someone collecting the set probably wouldn't pay a premium unless they're trying to get all the cards #'d 001 or the players' jersey numbers (this is probably impossible to do anyway).

So basically, you could get lucky and get a premium on the Sweeney if you pick the right person to trade with, but I wouldn't count on it.

I don't think it's unreasonable to assert that it has a 20% or 25% premium, which is the same sort of premium as a game jersey that has a pinstripe or second color. It has a feature that makes it special to a certain number of collectors, and that carries some reasonable premium with it.

pandrews - yes. That number, on that card, will prompt a more favorable response from collectors than say 27/61 or 43/61, so I'd say it has a premium, as would 1/61, 61/61, and 9/61 (9 was Maris's jersey number).
