What did you do on this long weekend???

Wow what a great long weekend. It started off when I took of Friday to play golf with some buddies and shot a smooth 74 on a course where my previous best was a 79.

Saturday I did a whole bunch of yardwork and work in the basement of my house (which I am currently finishing) and made a stop at the local card store where I had to pick up a box of (what else) newly released 2004 SP authentic Golf. Nothing major, but I also picked up a blaster box of 2003-04 Topps Finest Basketball. I pulled a Carmello Anthony Auto Refractor Jersey numbered to 250 and a Redemption card for Dwight Howard.

Today I spent most of the day drinking Corona's and entering images to every single card I have on the set registry. Hopefully it will get updated in a few days as I have spent at least the last 4-5 hours scanning....If you have some time, check out my scans of both old and new golf sets......Oh ......and since the neighborhood kids had their parents purchase every last firecracker for sale at the local stand, my Jack Russell has been barking since about 8 AM......

Tomorrow...more yardwork and purusing ebay to fill the rookies I need for the SP authentic set and likely will sell the Carmelo and Howard redemption.

Let me know how your weekends went. Hope everyone is having a great 4th of July

I took the family camping at Knoebels amusement park. Left Friday morning and got home Monday early afternoon.

We have a 26 foot travel trailer so some might not consider it camping but there is no way in the world I would go without air my conditioning and go camping in a tent!

The kids had a great time at the park and the weather was beautiful. Once again, we had a wonderful holiday weekend. Next trip........Ocean City Maryland at Frontiertown campground.

Hope everyone else had a great weekend!

  • On 7-3 I spent 2 hours mowing the grass, I changed the oil in my car, was forced to spend two hours at the mall and i drank some beer.

On 7-4 I surfed eBay and bought some cards untill 4pm at which time i grilled for about 20 people and after dark we shot fireworks for about an hour and a half. Also, add about a dozen beers scattered over the day.

Today 7-5 I was off work all day so i added a bunch of cards to my web site (which isn't online yet) drank some more beer and spent about two hours cleaning up the mess from last night.

    I wish i didn't have to work tomarrow, i need a day off!.image

On Friday I played 27 holes and was 1-over for the day but lost money!
On Saturday I played 36 holes and shot 9-over (77 & 76) and won $10 --- went to movies with Mrs. and saw Stepford Wives (so-so)
On Sunday I played 18 holes and shot 6-over 78 and won $5 --- spent time with my parents in the afternoon. Family fireworks
On Monday I played 18 holes and shot 1-under and won $75 ---- bogeyed the last 2 holes. Family dinner out in the evening.

Perhaps I need to find a golf playing card colletor message board somewhere...I'd be interested in vintage golf but not that familar with it.

Hard time getting back into the swing of things today....

    Enjoy your collection!

Friday night - I took mushrooms and speed and ended up with a 1971 Topps Art Shamsky card tattooed on my back.

Saturday - I put on the scuba gear and played Navy Seals in my pool. We got a small rubber boat with an outboard and I tried to stick a barbecue fork in it from under the water. I was on LSD so it was hard.

Sunday - Cut my hair myself and headed out to stay in the will by celebrating the 4th with my parents and their snobbo friends. Made believe I was learning Swedish and spoke gibberish the whole day. Also, grabbed a lot of boobs by pretending I had vertigo and was falling. Drank Everclear softened with Bacardi 151. Thought I was a third base bag so I ate sand off the beach instead of ribs.

Monday - Flew up to Northern California and shot four under on Cypress Point. Spent the afternoon with Clint Eastwood talking movie ideas. Convinced him to star in a movie about a gay Jew in Auschwitz who stayed alive by doing trick shots with his guns: Tentative Title - The Pianist With Pistols.

It was fun but it was nothing I hadn't spent a three day weekend before doing.
