Strike doubling on modern commems...valuable?

I was looking through my coins this weekend, and I some some prominent strike doubling on an unc. '84D Olympic dollar. I don't know how I ever missed it before.

I know this type of doubling usually isn't a big deal, but I figured that maybe since it's a commem it would have some additional value.

It doesn't really matter, because I won't be selling it anyway...it's neat!

Sorry, no pictures. I could take a pic, but I wouldn't be able to capture the doubling anywayimage

Strike doubling, unless dramatic, is never a premium even on commems. But it's neat nonetheless.

I like strike doubling on modern proofs even if the dollar amount of the coin is not in the stratosphere. Here are some pics from a state quarter proof. Odd thing is, I have 3 sets showing the exact same doubling.

Probably just me, but I would consider a strike-doubled modern commem to be worth less than a regular one.

Doubling on the unc 84 Olympic dollars was really common.

I would bet on Ebay it would bring more than normal.image
