It's a VF details net F with a small scratch. It was graded quite a while ago by ANACS. Even with the scratch, I bet it would go into any PCGS/NGC holder as VF.

It's a great original coin NWCS. I bought these from an ebay seller/forum member as EF40 each but I think the 26 has claims to EF45.

Welcome to the wonderful world of bust halves. First question: Do you have THE BOOK? If not, get it. Overton may be a little dated but it is still a great source of info.

As for how you did, if you got either of those coins for 40 money then I think you did okay. On the 26 you got a deal.

Now then, get rid of that ugly thing you have for an icon and use a good-looking coin.image

Thanks to all for the nice comments on my new additions. For reference I paid $170 for the overdate and $70 for the 1826. Did I still do good??image

Yep definite die bulge, the eagles head is opposite the drapery clasp which also was never struck up in detail.

Yes, I was in on it to the 300.00 mark but then dropped out.
