Registry special...... why?

Is it me or is a registry special of $12 for a 5 day turn around not "special"? I mean the registry (at least to me) is a "hobby" into itself. Its nothing "gained" with a quick turn around. (cept for bragging rights and you might loose those in less then 30 days) I would save $4 per card (modern) waiting an additional 30 days. I of course could be missing something, and if so please someone point it out.

Jim this special seems geared for those that have cards that are top dollar and want them back quick. Safe to say that it is not one of PSA's best specials in terms of getting many cards graded cheap at one time.
    Good for you.

i plan to "take advantage" of the special, not because the price is right but the quick turnaround will enable to find out if some tough raw cards i have for my set will make the grade and if they don't i continue my hunt in earnest.

It's not a great special but I do like the quick turnaround time. This will allow me to see my submitted cards quickly and I can then decide if I need something else. But otherwise it's a little spendy.

I agree with your concept, Aknot. But, I like the quick service specials. I think $10 is the right number for the 5 day service, which is what they did a few months back. The same 100 card submission will now cost $200 more with this deal.
