Yankees: 2nd best team in NY?

Getting spanked by the Mets! Nothing like getting back into the playoff race beating up on the
George and the boys. Funny I can't even name one player on the Mets besides Piazza.

You gotta love Yankee haters. They have to celebrate little victories because they have very few big victories. Gloating about a couple of wins would be like gloating about making two baskets in a basketball game that your team is losing by 40.

How much are they paying Mussina and Contreas to get blown up by the Mets?? I mean come on, a
bunch of no namers spanking the Yanks! One day its the D-rays and the next the mets are taking
you behind the wood shed. What are the Yanks going to do when they play a real team like
the Angels or the Rangers? What a waste of money....anyone see the anti-Matusi postings on the
beckett site? What a joke he is an all star....actually all the Yanks in the AS game is a joke.

I would love to bash the Yanks being a Sox fan, but they are for real even though they are human and lose a few games here and there.......They must have forgot to take their "ROIDS ROIDS ROIDS" before the series.

Yanks took 4 out of 6 from Anaheim and are 3 and 3 against Texas. Do you think Soriano will have 20 homers this year? I thought he was supposed to hit more HR's in home run friendly Ameriquest Field in Arlington? Whassup with that?

Hatoffs to the Mets. They outplayed the Yanks during the 6 games series but it could have easily been 4 out of 6 for the Yankees.

yankee fans id be worried your pitching is crap! mets bullpen is crap also.
Yanks dont get some help with starting pitching and rp's. they wont win nothing this year!

All and all George Steinbrenner has been great for the Yankees but in the 1970's and early 1980's, aka the "Billy Martin turnstyle years" he used to micromanage the team after every loss and probably broke a record for manager firings and changes.

Steinbrenner has mellowed over the years and has been more patient with managers. King Geoge has been the owner Yankee fans love to hate. Although I am diappointed the Yankees were swept, I relish the anticipation of his momentary outburst just a few days after he complimented the Yankees on sweeping Bosox.

A mets sweep, WOW, can the Yanks get anymore worse? Who are the jokers trying to tell me that
3-3 against a team with 1/10th your payroll is good? What good is all that when you finally get to
the world series and are spanked by a team like the Marlins?

Do I smell the Lakers here? I think so

yanks have 3 titles and the Marlins have 2!

Money doesn't always bring titles, but the Yanks will always try huh?
