Phillies, please trade Ryan Howard

Dang, this guy has 32 homers in AA already! Obviously Jim Thome ain't going anywhere, so this guy needs to go elsewhere. He's hitting .312 to boot.

    Thome is not the healthiest guy in the world. I like having Howard as insurance.

    Plus, his cards are doing awesomely for me on the bay...

    While the 32 homers are a plus, the 95 strikeouts balance it out. The last thing the Phils need in their lineup is another 150-180 Ks. They've got several guys in double and triple A who can get on base consistently to allow the 1 or 2 run homers of Thome and Abreu to turn into 3-run shots, or so they can manufacture more runs without the HR, something they absolutely must do. Not much speed in the organization though, looking at SB totals.

    Howard does have an intriguing variety of cards, and it will be interesting to see how they do the rest of the summer. His first card was a 2001 Premier Prospects, and he has cards in the 2002 UD Team USA set including an auto, but his first regular RCs are in a few 2003 sets from Topps and Donruss. What will be THE card to have?

    There has been talk of him being traded for some help before the trade deadline. It won't happen, as this is a Philadelphia team.

    The two highest priced cards should be the 03 Bowman Chrome Gold Refractor /50 and the Team USA auto /375. I have a plethora of the USA on eBay right now... Well, 3.

    There are, of course, a few cards which will have astronomical value - the red and blue Bowman's Best autos, the sub /50 Elite cards, etc...

    Curious to see what happens. Since I'm selling out of the hobby, I'm happy to sell m yshare of Ryan Howard cards...
