Check out auction 3919621522 for tduddles. This seller has 33 feedbacks (100% positive) but for all items in the $1-100, none of them coins. Now they offer an expensive Hi Relief NGC64 that has a professional catalogued photo on a PCGS 64 saint. The set up looks like what Goldberg's or Superior like to use.
I mailed the seller and asked for futher information, and in particular why the wrong photo was presented. It's not like we all have multiple Hi Reliefs in our collections, esp. when the seller never bought or sold a coin on ebay before.
The reply with grammar of a 9 year old:

"I'm so sorry, but i wrong the coin picture, so i have attached the actual coin picture in the email. This coin is from my grandfather, now him is death and i have a medical problem and i need the money, this is the reason why i selling now. This coin have a big sentimental value for me and I'm ready sorry coz i decided to sell it, but i really need the money.
P.S. You can see the reference number on the picture, just zoom in.
Kind regards

Sure enough, they sent me a photo of an NGC64 Saint with the same pro setup from the same catalog as the PCGS coin. I sent another email to the seller requesting more information. Boy this sure seems awful "ODD" on the surface.

That auction screams scam.
Russ, NCNE
all of a sudden that pcgs saint is an ngc saint ?
Escrow transaction all the way.
is it worth that much ?
Proof
I was trying to see if I could find the PCGS coin in a recent catalog but no luck. The cert # on the NGC coin they sent a separate photo to me of was # 1667710-002. Nice coin too. But I doubt they own it. Bidding is pretty lively on this one with over 35 bids. And no reserve either to protect this $20,000 coin...that is really odd! Doesn't that scream scam once again?!!

FYI
There will be two high reliefs in 64 in the ANR pre ANA sale. One in Proof and one in Mint State.
Nice ones too.

would seem that the seller does not own or even possess said coin !
Sure does - and doesn't the slab say MS65?

You're right! I remember talking about something similar a few months back. It was smart of him to have this auction end on a holiday weekend. Less chance of someone contacting the owner that way.

I'm glad you'll be contacting the high bidder. If only there were some way to get these thieves arrested. I wonder how many decent people have actually lost money this way.
I can afford a neg on my record.
Nice catch on the PCGS 65. The coin being offered is an NGC64 and they have a picture of that if you request to see it

Why should anyone be afraid to bid with this seller...they have 100% feedback buying trinkets, toys, and glassware on ebay.
Hey, I'd trust them watching my briefcase of coins at a show!

New collectors, please educate yourself before spending money on coins; there are people who believe that using numismatic knowledge to rip the naïve is what this hobby is all about.

<< <i>Guess they decided to bail on this one. >>
Only eBay can remove the item from the database. All the seller can do is cancel, but the listing would still be there.

very impressive.
Well, there goes my dreams of getting a hi relief in choice unc for under $10,000

Have fun in collection rare coins. I know nothing.
Backfeed or upchuck if get coin not happy.
Thank much
You vry funy person.
Ebay sent me a notice that duddles account was hijacked and it is now frozen while ebay investigates. that would seem to make sense why the mom and pop shop account that was selling and buying inexpensive items moved into the big time with a $20,000 hi relief saint. Me wanna buy one two coz I luv dem.

You from me by coin,yes?
If I saw an icon in the description to click on that would send the item nr to some of you and get a critique back, even if I already bid, I'd pay a $5 fee for it if it drew any suspicion.. Just a $ thought.

Anyway, I'm glad all of you caught this one. I don't buy much off of ebay, but look often. If I found a bargin, I might bite. Glad to see the forum members covering everyone's back.
