Got myself a new coin...

... well i got it a few days ago, but i haven't posted it yet.

So i've finally decided to listen to everyone's advice and do the date set rather than the die number set. (Forgive the poorer quality of the scan, but i haven't scanned gold in for so long i'm out of practice and i've forgot the contrast/brightness ratios, i must practice... Also forgive the smallness of pictures, cos omnicoin shrinks them).

Only 30 odd to go, but i'm also trying to start a collection of US gold coins of the Denver Mint, 1906-1914... so it might be slow going. I've got a dealer looking out for $10 Indians. I'm not getting very far at the moment though, they are in short supply in the UK. The only ones i saw were Phillys but i don't want Phillys... grrrr.

Very nice. Good luck on the search for the coins that you need to complete this set and also for the Denver mint gold.image

    Cheers!

It still feels strage going on a British coin site and finding USA coins listed under World.

Some of the US $10 in the time frame that you are seeking are not easy to get. The 1911-D is tough and beware of counterfeits. Good luck.
