Any suggestions? Help with large trade!

I'm a new member who has recently received a trade offer of over $700 from another new member! Is there any safe way to complete this trade?
There is no way that I will send 1st and I don't believe that they will either!
Any suggestions would be graetly appreciated!

  • If the trade is for multiple cards. Break it up a little. Send one card and see if they send one card. Then once that goes ok, send some more cards the same way until you have completed the trade.

Safe way? Sure. The two of you sit down on a curb under a tree and swap cards....

....seriously, though, it's a toughy. Do as much research as you can on the guy; read his posts, check his feedback if he eBays, check the trader lists that are linked up in another thread on these boards...etc. I've found that most people persistantly are who they are. Never trust a bad trader.

  • I once sent an 1986 MJ Fleer #57 to Honk Kong for inspection. I had the guy give a credit card number to a buddy of mine who owned a business. I sent the card; the guys didn't want it and sent it back. I refunded his payment.
  • You should both send your cards to a trusted board member like Jay from Qualitycards. Once he gets them he can verify the cards are all there and then forward them to the other party. You should both include a $20 bill to cover his time and shipping expenses. If the deal is all good then you will both have the confidence to deal with each other directly.
  • Well, the trade is for $700 in game-used for an SP Lebron auto! I'm the one with the Gu!

My Ebay feedback and trading rep from another site, pretty much speak for itself!
On Ebay my feedback is 391 @ 100% positive and I've completed over 130 successful trades, the highest on being $360 with the other member sending 1st!

I like the idea about sitting under a tree! I guess that depends on where each of us live!

I just read the preceeding post and I really like that idea!

no one in their right mind would trade GU for a Lebron auto...he is out to rip you off. I would
    stay away!

  • That's what I was thinking, that's why I asked him to send 1st! At 1st he offered me a Carmelo auto bv $350 for all of my GU and I told him no! Then he offered me the Lebron auto bv $750 for the same cards!
