forum "confrontations"

I have had extensive PMs over the years with practically every forum member who seems to be a friend, as well as those who "on the surface" seem to confront me, and visa versa. These people, who btw, in private conversations are very open, understanding, educated, and savvy, and in every circumstance I can recall, are friends. The forum is for fun, to be taken as seriously as you like. To me, it is business, money, serious, but most of all (99%), fun. Every person whom I have had personal PM conversations with has been personable, and mature to a fault.
I appreciate all the fine relationships I have developed on this forum, and look forward to others.
I try to remember that we are alike as coin collectors, and the differences are miniscule.
The greatest similarity is that we all enjoy this activity.

I agree with you Steve. Much is gained and very little lost when any misunderstanding is taken to a PM.

She did not accept it but gave a very bewildered look just like the one she gave when the two dollar bill was given to her.

    None numismatic people anyway......image
  • image I bought a brick of $2 bills. Got out the star notes and was hoping for radars or repeaters but found none. Do you realize how hard it is to get rid of almost 1000 $2 bills? I finally ended up buying coins with them. Got some nice seated dollars and some gold. image

I see a Regan Silver Round is being touted as legal tender on Television. Heck my wife did not fall for that one like she does on some of the other things, ie State Quarters.

    Tee Hee.....

State Quarters work quite well in Coke and bubblegum machines.

Fairlaneman: tell me you were saying that tongue in cheek. Does your past dealings really tell you that I could be so wrong? If so, please tell me, and I will stop investing miniscule amounts on coins that potentially will return such rewards. I've started new (unappreciated) reg. sets, which has been my M. O. for years...
I could be wrong, making all my right decisions in the past seem unimportant. I would like to be right on this one, as well. I guess only time will tell. image

    Duck season, Rabbit season...
It is always open season on reg. guys. It is part of the game, accepted, expected, even missed when gone. image

Speaking of forum confrontations, I would like to formally recognize, and appreciate Mr. Plat., and his son.
As we all know it takes all types, and the egos in question are not so different than most of our own.
This conceded, I think we all feel that any reg. competition is good, no matter the overt personalities generated on this forum.
I bet, as I know I come across better in person, that most registrants are really cool, once you get to know them.

Coincop and correct are not often used in the same sentence. But I'm glad I could help. image
