Here's what I'm doin' at the National...

Going to the VIP welcome stuff, taking my wife to the sneak peek and the Brooklyn Bridge show, going to the registry luncheon, the baseball game on Thursday night, getting photo's taken with Whitey Ford, Reggie Jackson, Mike Schmidt and Rocky Colavito (hopefully holding their Hartlands) and autographs from all of them as well. Going to the Pete Rose ask-a-question thing (heh!) and getting some oddball things signed by Al Kaline, Dean Chance and I'm also going to have my Mark McGwire g/u 1998 bat authenticated by PSA/DNA. (I lost my Dave Bushing LOA) and hunting for some cards to add to my registry sets.

Whew.

I'm already exhausted.

Sounds like fun...I wish I could attend but I am stuck in San Antonio all summer. I thought I would have July and August off but I have to teach (I teach at Northwest Vista College in San Antonio). One of my instructors backed out on me. In the words of Homer Simpson "lousy democrats." Unfortunately it is a Cisco Networking course and he and I are the only two certified to teach. We'll at least the class doesn't start until 1:00PM so I can still get my Tue and Thur AM golf rounds in. It's going to be a hot summer in South Texas.

I'm headed to your neck of the woods in October. We have relatives in Houston, friends that just moved to Austin, and I promised my wife I'd take her to your town to show her the sights. In fact, the friends sent me a t-shirt through the mail from some Texas bar-b-que joint...from this place www.bbqfilm.com so I'm all set!!
