    I'd agree with the environmental damage - not only do I not find the toning flattering, it looks as though the coin has spent some time burriend or exposed to water - not something I would go after...

    I'm guessing it's the vicim of a bad dip.

    This Kennedy was "stretched" and is almost the size of a silver dollar. Whoever did so was able to work this one without too much distortion. I heard it is done with thick leather straps; wooden mallots and lots of spare time. One mistake/mistrike and another host coin is used and the process starts over again.

    Actually, it was I who submitted it recently. SEGS wouldn't holder it and neither would NCS. PCI wouldn't either until I wrote them in regards to the history of this coin.

    It is estimated 20 hours or more was spent by a craftsman to achieve the dimension and shape of the coin without distortion.

    To me it is a work of art. To others, a monumental waste of time and effort.

    It goes in the same grouping as this Kennedy (featured last week in a Thread):
