i think it's pretty. prolly wasnt a ton o money either. course Russ did not show the obverse or disclose the date,if its a 41 P AU,he paid about 5 bucks for it !
I don't like the look, not just because it looks AT, but I don't think the colors look right on this coin. I have to agree with proof, I don't think Russ would pay that much for a coin that looks AT. Russ, you're playing with the newbs, right?
Nice color... just curious... what does the NCNE stand for? If this has already been asked and answered a dozen times, I must have missed it a dozen times.

<< AT! Wrong Colors for the coin. Also the Color looks layed over the coin and thick, almost non transparent. >>
Russ: I'm not a toned coin expert, but I feel that the toning may have been artificially applied to cover up some light (AU) wear on the eagle's breast.
I have to agree with TonedCoinTrader's above quote.

Almost forgot about this one. Yes, it's a shake 'n bake courtesy of Tonecoin2003. Besides being AT'd, it's abrasively cleaned. Lots of hairlining hiding under the paint job.

I especially like the feathers on the wings.
Oh yeah the toning -- okay, not great not fugly -- small premium at best.

<< <i>Is it AU or just weakly struck??? >>

I also thought that the toning looked a wee bit artificial.....
<< <i>Put a coin in a glass jar with a book of matches and you could probably duplicate this toning. >>
Do you have to light the matches?
