OH No UPS Does IT Again!

Funny thing, I work for a shipping company, I've done wholegoods management, but I've never seen such sloppy service as UPS. In the last two years I've never received a shipment on time, they have repeatedly sent my packages to incorrect addresses, and have lost and also damaged a few.
I paid for a next day air service that I just found out will be, "The Five Day Service" by the time my shipment is rerouted....no discount on the $30 freight since UPS wants the shipper to handle the credit and then go back to them for a refund. The shipper is unwilling to do so.
so I'm sorry guys, I was waiting on that macro lens to give some shots of some cool stuff but now it's sit back and wait a week. I'm looking on the bright side now, that it will actually arrive intact.
All I can say at this moment is....GO FEDEX!

Prost!
Why step over the dollar to get to the cent? Because it's a 55DDO.

Neither does the FedEx 2 day either.
I tend to overinsure with UPS and FEDEX, that way if they lose it, they get to pay for my aggravation too.
That has worked out very well twice now.
I had some rare parts (not coins) shipped FEDEX ground (when it used to be RPM), while watching the tracking data, it finally made it to my city area DFW airport, then the next day it went down to Houston, and then they suddenly lost it. Well, the parts were irreplaceable, but it cost them dearly for being so stupid.
Amazingly enough USPO seems to be really good now. I have only have one thing eaten by the automatic sorting machine slately. Priority mail has always worked, nothing lost yet.
Knock on wood.

My new UPS guy tried to sell me on their service and how good it was. I told him exactly what I stated above and he said I should stay with Fedex.
Fedex is the only way for overnight packages.

For the most-part
I remember working at a law firm last summer--everything was FedEx Priority Overnight... even the stuff going 5 miles away that would be overnight with anyone using any shipping method.
The catch is the overnight sort is in the South (Atlanta or Nashville, I think). Anyhoo, the packages going 5 miles away fly 1000 miles away first, then fly back. Then one day there was a storm, and the flights got delayed. I'll never forget the person frantically waiting for the package from a town 10 miles away that was supposed to arrive at 10am... and it was 3pm. What a day

Who does PCGS and the guys across the street use to ship? I'm just getting prepared to sign my name on the dotted line and send some raw stuff in. Also from what I gather on the board is that USPS is the best for shipping coins due to the insurance factor, is that a popular consensus?
