Rainbow toned Morgan dollars

Hi guys,

Has anyone had any experience with this seller? He has some really cool looking rainbow toned Morgans but, I'm not sure if they look right, could they be artificially toned?

He's got few common dates that I need, I just want to be sure before placing a bid. I see his feedback is privet, which (at least to me) is a major red flag.

Thanks,
Spanky

This seller does indeed sell artificially toned coins. And the ones in the auction are artificially toned.

Don't go near that guy. That coin is an artificially toned piece of junk.

As nwcs and k6az say, at junk.
  • Errrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr...

That's what I figured, they didnt' look right.

This really sucks ya know! I really can't afford the PCGS slabbed rainbows, they just take a $20 or $30 common MS60 to MS64 coin and the price goes to well over $100.00 each.

Ebay needs to clean up their coin auctions, every time I post or ask about a coin, it's a freaking counterfiet or fake or sandcast, or artificially toned, or the seller lies about the price value or "it looks all good to me!"

I'm going to call the ANA again, yes I am a member and I want to know how to report these auctions. I tried to complain but, Ebay won't listen to me unless the auction is over or I was the winning bidder ... and even then, I'd have to work it out, even if the coin was counterfiet.

    Errrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr...

WATCH OUT… HELL HATH NO FURY LIKE A WOMAN SCORNED!!!

I am a long time Ebayer but as was suggested try here first if there's something you're looking for. I just bought a lot off Ebay and if it turns bad, I swear Ebay is gone for good. There's just so much unbelievable junk out there.
    Prost!

Why step over the dollar to get to the cent? Because it's a 55DDO.

That is an appalling looking piece of altered trash. ANyone would be crazy to buy it. On the other hand, my beautifully and naturally toned 1889-P dollar PCGS MS66 cost me well over $2000, so who's the crazier fool? Probably me !!!!

Unfortunately, that's just how life is--if you want it, save the money... they are there.

BigD has some less expensive toned dollars on eBay--and he's a true first-class seller.

If you keep your eyes open, you'll be OK... I've gotten 2 rainbow/crescent morgans for considerably less money than usual by paying close attention.
