Offered me a PCGS 1894 P Morgan........... AU 55.......... for $2100........ deal? or no deal?

Numerous POTD (But NONE officially recognized)

    These don't show up that often and I find them tougher than the '93S.
    Go have a look at it and if the overall appearance is there for you, then by all means jump on it.
    The most money I made are on coins I haven't sold.

    Sounds fair if the coin is nice.....

    An AU50 is bid @1900 ask @2100 and a 60 is bid @2500 ask@2750 so I think it's a very fair offer if the coin has eye appeal........jmho

    Only buy it if its exactly right. Follow your first reaction when you see it. If it lights you up, buy it. If you have to think about it, pass. I once looked 2 years with an Ahab-like obsession for a particular coin before it turned up. I passed many that were "close" to get the one that I eventually found and loved. If you settle, you'll always regret it. And on a coin at that price, the buy/sell spread is great enough that you'll lose quite a bit of money when you decide to upgrade.

    I think I have an au58 (PCGS ofcourse) available that looks every bit uncirculated.

    My wife refers to my dealer as "my bookie" when he calls with a coin...

    Anyway, I don't mind paying a little extra for the rarer coins. If it has the look you want, even if it is priced a little high, what is the likelihood that you will see another one better? You will have to put a value on your desire to have a 1894 P Morgan in AU55.

    My "extra" was recently spent on an 1913-S Type II Buffalo, the last I needed to complete my buffalo set. It was a perfect fit into my collection and I had been looking for months to find one and nothing was surfacing. When one popped up, I pounced and made sure I got it.

    The 94 P is the LAST ONE........... Then the set is complete (- the 95 P) in AU or better.............
