And while we're at it - is there a site somewhere that might have more information about the fugio cents than I ever cared to know?

As for the fugio aisle at walmart.......my local walmart replaced the fugio aisle with incredibly gorgeous and silent 23 yr old blondes aisle. Oh well.
I saw a vf30 at dlrc's website the other day.
Too slow, Dennis!
New collectors, please educate yourself before spending money on coins; there are people who believe that using numismatic knowledge to rip the naïve is what this hobby is all about.
Here's a great site that discusses fugio cents

Haven't found one yet. But there have been some found. A local friend and forum member found a Nova Constellatio in my favorite park.
I wouldn't mind finding a holed one (nondug) for my vest one day.

skingspan, your Fugio looks like it's Newman 12-X, which is an R.3 variety. Very decent piece. If I had to assign a grade, I would call it VG, although these are better graded by price than a technical grade for a few good reasons. Fugios are one of my favorite coins of all time!
PS - please make sure that the flip the coin is in is not a PVC flip.
