Be careful, someone may want this a filler but...

Hi,
Just a little fore-warning... there is an 1893-S on Ebay clearly marked as "altered date" but, the auction is privet.
The winning bidder might just want the coin as filller but... the winning bidder may crack it and attempt to resell the coin as real in a "looks all good to me" estate sale or a "My grandfater left me this" scam auction.
The winning bidder may just keep it, which is fine but... I'd hate to see someone get burned.

Could you post a close up of the "distinct mark in Liberty on the obverse"?
Not that I'm ready to run out and pick one up but... I can't find a shot of it online and I like to get me a edge-a-ma-K-sion!

As you can see, a picture has already been posted. This is a description from The Official Guide to Coin Grading and Counterfeit Detection...
1. In the foot of the R of LIBERTY is a die chip, known as the "rabbit ear." This raised chip is found only on genuine 1893-S dollars.
2. The T of LIBERTY has a raised diagonal die line through the top of the letter.
Furthermore, the book says "These characteristics will be identifiable down to the lowest grades because they are found in protected areas of the coin."
