Painful night on ebay

Anybody else involved in the T201 bloodletting last night? I had a snipe in on 11-12 auctions and placed relatively strong bids on several others, but won only 3. After losing my first snipe, I increased some of the snipes accordingly, and then, again and again. The market is extremely hot for PSA 5s with really strong prices on Cicotte-5 ($421), Walsh-5 ($270), Baker/Downie-5 ($393) and Huggins/Bresnahan-5 ($285), to name a few. I was WAY off on a couple of these. Also, an interesting comparison between SGC and PSA pricing (although not a perfect match) - a Summers/Jennings PSA 4 went for $123.50 last night (I, of course, came in second in the bidding), while a nice SGC 70 didn't hit the reserve at $163.50 the night before. Thanks for letting me vent.

I too was involved in the T201 action last night but
didn't win anything and was WAY off on quite a few.
I figured to pick up at least 1 but no such luck. Some
of those final hammer prices just blew my mind.

Interesting results. I guess this dispells the myth that summer months are the worst time to sell on eBay.
  • Some of the results were so out of whack that I'm thinking about putting one or two PSA 5s up to see what happens.

I can't touch the prices from the other night but if you have
any PSA EX 5's you want to sell, feel free to send me a PM
    or e-mail.
