Jefferson nickel Benson collection?

I received this nickel and it has "Benson" on it.
Is this a "Benson" pedigree coin?
Anyone have any history orstory about it?
Or am I totally wrong and it is some sort of a special type of a coin?

  • Benson was a coin collector and had nice coins but also collected by the roll. When his collection was sold, these roll coins were slabbed with the pedigree right along with the scarcer ones and are very common. The nickel ones sell for around $15.

  • 40s Date Mercs are also very common in PCGS holders with the Benson pedigree on EBay. Not really worth a premium, though some people do, simply because there's a name on the label...

I would like to find one @ $15, as a matter of fact I would like to have the whole war nickel set with the Benson pedigree.
