SBA/Kennedy 1979 vs 1981

I pretty much got the differences down.

What I don't get are the prices.

On the bay of E

Half ~$17 ('79 and '81)
SBA - ~$100

Half - 28 On sell total ('79 and '81)
SBA - 91 on sell

Is there so much less halves or are the SBA investors just cashing in.

My take. There ain't enough money here to ibother. It's gotta be supply/demand.

Buy the Halves.

The prices are mostly about demand since mintages of the type 2's are much more similar.

The number for sale on e-bay is likely mostly a function of the price in this case.

Thank you cladking. I had no idea if the mintages were different or not. Wasn't sure if the type 2 mint mark was introduced at different times for different denominations in the minting process.

Guess I'll wait till the SBA's are less popular (is that possible?).
