I am! I finally decided to do it but still working out which day I can make it. I always prefer to be at these events on
opening day but I don't know if I can swing it for Wednesday yet.

Kranky, Give ksteelheader a shout. He was thinking of getting a bunch of people up and go to someplace called the Church Pub (or something like that) either Friday or Saturday.
<< <i>Friday after the PCGS lunch, I was thinking of going over to Beaver Falls to go to an aviation museum if anyone else wants to tag along. >>
If I wasn't staying for just one day I'd take you up on that for sure. I love classic & modern day aircraft, military or civilian, and aviation history. That would've been great!

Ken (Ksteelheader) says that a place called the Church Pub is pretty good. I asked a friend who use to live in Pittsburgh and she said that this place has real great food. Ken is getting up a dinner there one night but I don't know what night.
My wife will also be hanging around. She is so excited.
Other good places downtown or not very far from the Convention Center:
Expensive and no blue jeans: Common Plea (Italian), Morton's (steak), Ruth's Chris (steak), Steelhead Grill (seafood), Grand Concourse (seafood, in a spectacular building that was an old railroad station)
Casual: Piccolo Piccolo (Italian), Kaya (Caribbean), Roland's Iron Landing (seafood), Lidia's (not the typical Italian, with huge wine list), Valhalla (American/makes their own beer)

<< <i>I lived in PGH for 3 years in the mid 80s, so my info may be dated. Is Big Jim's in Greenfield still around? Real divey place in a lousy neighborhood, but great food (and a sign in the restaurant that says "no spitting!") In Shadyside, I liked Pasta Piatta and The Balcony, if they're still around. >>
Big Jim's is still going strong, it's close to where I work and we go there once in a while. Great sandwiches, and they are still on that no-spitting kick. The two in Shadyside are gone.

My daughter lives in Pittsburgh & I'll try and post a list of nice and affordable restaurants
I plan on having an exhibit at the ANA & it should be a fun experience - I'll be there most of the week, or at least until I run out of money or coins!
