Look at this Pcgs Ms 61 $3 gold on Heritage. Is this one of those doctored coins that fell apart in the slab?
Will one of you computer guru's please post a pic. of the top right corner of the coin.

Just looks like a contact mark to me. Possibly from the reeding on another coin.
Great transactions with oih82w8, JasonGaming, Moose1913.
<< <i> Please take a look at the actual coin in the slab and enlarge the top right quarter the coins edge is melting away. >>
GOLDSAINT,
What you are seeing is called "flash". When a plastic object is injected molded, the injection pressure is sometimes higher than it should be and you get small amount of molten polymer sqeezed between the two mold halves. It's happens fairly often.
<< <i>It was suggested to me to be fair to Heritage that I should change my post, I did that but it seems to me that a big auction company should make note of the fact that this coin had the PCGS plastic melted over the rim or is this just a common occurance? >>
Goldsaint, I see nothing wrong with you naming Heritage in this post. Heritage is just selling the coin on behalf of the consigner. Why is there a problem with that?
Regarding whether or not they should make note of the "flash", I don't think it's necessary. I have several PCGS slabs which show "flashing" around the coin. It's a problem with the slab not the coin.
If the slab were in hand, it would be obvious.
Good eye by Caitlin none the less.
