Coin Dealers I need a little help

Dear fellow board members,
I am in need of a certified itemizied appraisal of my coin collection. I have it all on excel database and all are pcgs graded coins save for some mint sets and proof sets.
I don't want to go into detail here, but will give details to only dealers who can provide me with an appraisal.
Please PM me or send me a email for more information @ coinscoinscoins@pacbell.net
Thank You
Mike

    Mike, Pm sent.
  • Please send me all your coins so I can do a REALLY good job on the appraisal. I'm not a dealer, but may become one if your coins are nice enough. image

Thanks much Marc, but, the bump was needed. There are many (more modern) coins included which I do not know prices/values for.

not to nickpick...but it sounds like you just want a $$$ value....

A professional appraisal is a very specific document

Elements of a correctly prepared appraisal

very few coin dealers really understand what is involved.....

So I though Mark - I was about to add to that post something like "unless they are a bunch of moderns" ..............but I resisted lest I open up a can of worms image and turn another thread into a flame 4 all image

  • Hi,

You can get a real world idea of what is selling for book value or above and what is not by looking at EBay’s completed items.

It’s no an exact science however; it is a great way to get an approximation of the value of coins you are unsure of.

  • Dear Board Members,
I guess not to many understood what I really need here.
I am not looking for current value or blue or gray sheet values. I am looking for a certified appraisal of this inventory from a dealer who puts a value on it with the intent of purchasing this collection. In other words what he or she (dealer) would buy this collection for if it were to be offered for sale to him or her.
This is needed to get a true value on the collection for court purposes.
Any body that can provide me with this please PM me or contact me through email @ coinscoinscoins@pacbell.net
    Thanks,
    Mike

I'd talk to Michael Dixon. He is always advertising wanting to purchase coins/collections.

I haven't dealt with him personally, but have only heard good things about him.
