Direction found ?

Having spent the last 8-9 years completing some TOUGH date/mint sets (Seated halves notably, and by variety), I feel the need to take a break from series collecting..... At the Midwest Expo, I picked up a nice chain set, pretty much on a whim (I've wanted to own one since I was a kid). Reading articles on chain cents I found there were 4 varieties, but I don't feel the need to collect these by variety..... I don't especially like early copper, but I do enjoy reading about the various different designs and their histories......... This seems to lead me to the "type" set concept.......... I've got a decent start from amongst the occasional pieces I've picked up here and there, and I think I might just enjoy chasing a type rather than a date/mint coin......... I'm sure that I'll get sidetracked somewhere along the line, but I figure I've got 20 good years left in me, and that oughta allow enough time for a few diversions........ I bet if I climb into the safe and sort out the duplicates, I will have a dang good start on funding this new adventure........ Wish me luck !!!!!!!!
