Buying PSA cards from Jay at Quality Cards

I have made 3 purchases from Jay within the last few months. Particularly 72 and 75 Topps Hockey PSA cards that are on the PSA registry. He is a truly class act, and as stated in the other thread, I always receive my cards in two days, superb packaging, etc.
I have had several unpleasant experiences from other dealers recently (I won't mention any names here)...I guess buying from Jay makes me a little spoiled, but he is truly a class act and a pleasure to do business with.

You are correct. Jay is top notch. I can't think of more than a couple of bad things to say about him, but I'm not allowed to post them here!

Always looking for Topps Salesman Samples, pre '51 unopened packs, E90-2, E91a, N690 Kalamazoo Bats, and T204 Square Frame Ramly's
Dealing in cards should be fun for the buyer and how can a seller complain? Its not like dealing in dental instruments or selling insurance policies, I get to "play" with cards all day. Beats having to work for a living ...jay

Gosh Jay,
I am getting goosebumps from reading all this warm fuzzy feely stuff.
I would have to echo the sentiments expressed here also.I purchased a card from Jay a while back and it was one of the best buying experiences that I have had.Along with fast shipping and top notch packaging,he followed up with an e-mail concerning my satisfaction with my card.I would like to add that it was a high dollar card and everything was very professional.Anyone that has not bought from Jay is certainly missing the boat.
Thanks Again Jay,
Vic
I feel another one commin' on!!!

Thanks Jay. Stuff is packed and ready to go.

Did I leave anything out?
jay- i'll have my lawyers get in touch with your lawyers when the screenplay is ready for presentation to the major studios.
I have known him for about 15 years or so and have had numerous transactions. Not only have all of mine been great, but I have never heard anyone say thing less. Top notch guy. Top notch dealer.
You can't have a warm and fuzzy thread without a vote from the Fuzz.
I just treat all like I want to be treated. I hate buying a PSA card thats loose and unprotected, so I "overpackage" my stuff. As people want the card in tact and not a refund for damaged slab. And just because its my full time profession, doesn't mean I can't enjoy my self in the process. Don't know why others don't have as much fun. Every card I buy as well as sell, I read the stats and appreciate the history of it. I'm having a great time doing what I love to do. Look foward to bumping into as many guys as I can in Cleveland. Or if anyone wants to call w/ a question about cards or the state of affair in the industry or to talk sports, bring it on. Have talked w/ about 20 board members and its always nice to get the one of one of a conversation in place of eMails, PM's & posts...jay
UNISHIP - Sorry, I only have 1 ID, if I had another anonymous ID, I'd probably sign off as my usual "...jay" anyway
HIGHEND - We can work out our million $ idea, no need to cut the lawyers in on it.
MAGELLAN - Remember, its not the cards, terms nor the pricing, just the smiling sun icon that you need
AKNOT - Your cards are packaged and ready to go, w/ 6 bonus Marino's for your titantic endeavour
RW2WIN - According to my wife, every day is "Jay Day"
TIPEM - I was glad to have that '53 Bowman Reese for awhile, its in good hands now, glad you like it. Its a classic!
CALLEOCHO - If its between a car payment or a card, I'll choose the card everytime!
ROBE - Are you the one that calls and starts crying after you mention "Aunt Bunny"then hangs up?
GRIFFINS - Hoping to do our trade, let me know if its still do-able.
WINPITCHER - Glad our dealings went well.
JEB - I've learned alot from you, especially the drinking part
GRILLO - Thanks for starting the post, just don't pass me on the '72 Hockey just yet.
EDITED to add - FUZZ - When I was working on my '66 Baseball set via eBay, you outbid me every time,
so I ended up selling you my '66's, a few hundred spread out in many purchases. I still have your wrapper
guide that I bought in the 80's, and I do reference it now and then. Good Stuff!

I agree with the rest of the guys...Jay is top shelf in my book.
A thread like this blows away any advertisement placed in SCD or the SMR....it is well deserved.
I don't know what you guys are talking about becouse Jay's a punk and a drunk! I'd never buy anything from him and i wouldn't recommend him to anyone. Rumor has it that he dresses up in a big ape costume and steals most of his cards from people as they leave the local card shops. Watch out for this guy!
JUST JOKING! Jay is one of the best dealers i've ever delt with and we have had at least 25 transactions in the past. JAY IS TOP NOTCH ALL THE WAY! YOU DA MAN MOOSE!
Paul.
Brian
then I will - he is a Giants fan.
Jay is a great dealer. His prices are good, he lets you know when certain cards come in that you need, and he is a good guy to talk to.
Always looking for 1957 Topps BB in PSA 9!
DIRTY PAUL - Shoot me a call if you want that info on making millions
BRIAN - No need for me to sleep, that gives me less time w/ cards.
NEAL - Now won't you look foolish when the G'Men beat the Eagles twice this year! ...jay

If that happens Jay, I will become your personal butler.

You can see this great family heirloom means everything to our family. Now I am not a pen expert so I can make no guarentees but this stuff did actually happen. So to raise money for my sick childrens school tuition we will be offering it for sale. Paypal only offers, to my account in the Cayman Islands, will be accepted in excess of $25K on a first come basis. No refunds and no returns. Due to security reasons the pen is no being stored in a safety deposit so no pictures are available. Don't miss this once in a lifetime chance for a piece of Wolt history.
Fuzz
PS. Did I miss anything?
Rob's pic of your card in '72 is extemely nice and well centered. If you resubmit yourself, I think you'd have a good shot at a 9! Think of all the fanfare if you would be Mint - or even Gem!
You could even go one step further and try another pose for the 72 again to increase the chances being included in the 72 set registry. Remember, however, never-ever pick your nose while the photo is being shot.
Keep up the good work!

Just an update. I just saw your picture on the PSA 8 card! You're so honest & dependable I thought you were older, like me!!

FUZZ - I hope you've taken better care of the pen then you have w/ your quantity of stored wrappers. As you've told me insects have ravaged them.
BOTR - I wouldn't want to e-submit it, I might get a dreaded qualifier
ROB - If you love that '72 shot of me, wait til you see what I have cooking for a 2004 version...jay

The pen has gotten some use but I would still give it a 7.
We had quite the problem with these little brown bugs that came in a shipment I got that went into the card room. Finally after calling the pest control supervisor after several treatment failures, they bombed the room. Zip up suit and all. It got rid of them finally. The hamster in the room next door is now a foot and half long with five legs but the bugs are gone.
I have just finished going through the boxes and boxes of wrappers/cards/display boxes and it appears that there was no damage to anything. Guess that is a good thing but man were there a lot of dead bugs.
Fuzz
Yeah, Jay sold me some great cards, at a fair price, and shipped them quickly,
but the Kool-Aid packet enclosed was "Swirlin' Strawberry Starfruit".
I believe his choice of a flavor containing the word STARFRUIT ,
was a direct attack upon my icon's masculinity.
"How about a little fire Scarecrow ?"
All I have to figure out is how to get a Pepe's Pizza delivered to Jay from New Haven to Littlestown PA and he'll be singing Louie Prima songs.

Man Jay, It's a wonder any other "dealers" survive with the fan fair you get around here.

ROBE - You'll be happy to know I just put up an Eddie "Murphy" Murray '78 OPC PSA-8 on eBay today, and I thought of you!
JEB - I would send you a large pile, but with your new house, or should I say estate, I know money is tight, so I'm helping you out
