Anyone using coin software?

GooberGoober Posts: 980 ✭✭✭
I make up my own Excel spreadsheets but I've grown tired of making new columns and was wondering if anyone here uses software that makes the process easy?
Prost!

Why step over the dollar to get to the cent? Because it's a 55DDO.

I use Excel too. But I only have about 100 things on the list so it is fairly easy to manage.

LOL, yeah, me too, I'm always updating it, adding new columns, revising, reformatting. Who knows, at this rate I may have a program.

  • When I started inventorying my coins this year, I set up an excel spreadsheet to do it. I made a few alterations, but if you know the software well it only takes a few minutes to make the mods.

Have a spreadsheet for every denomination, then a "Totals" spreadsheet which takes the info from all the others and gives me a net value.

    Quite handy!

Me too...It would be nice if they would update it for 2004 at some point before December! I won't re-order it.

Been using Coin Elite for many years now.

I bought the last upgrade and it won't run on my new XP machine.

I have tried more programs than I care to remember, but I finally settled on one that I really like.

This is the best one and it is very reasonably priced. image

  • I use CoinManage 2003. This new version takes up far less computer resources than the previous version. I installed the program on my Zip drive so I can share it between my laptop and desktop -- that way, I don't have to drag my collection to strange new dealers. BTW, I think Liberty Street Software is currently offering a free update to the 2004 version when it comes out later this year.

CoinElite. I got 400 something coins & 900 something pictures in it and it still works.
Just make sure you use the backup feature cause I deleted a whole collection accidently one time.
