How rare is the 1954 S/D nickel wide D variety?

A few year back Numismatic News had an article on a newly discovered variety of a 1954 S/D Jefferson nickel. This variety had a fully separated D partial mint mark located above (separated from) the strongly punched S. At the time, the only one known was the one featured in the article, provided by the person who discovered the coin.

I've always kept an eye out for them.... and have finally found a couple of them in an original roll! The remaining part of the 'D' is about half height, only showing the right upper part of the D (mostly vertical, with some curve to the left at the top). It is located NNW of the S mint mark. The S mint mark also appears to be a S/S. The entire reverse of the coin shows that the die has had much repair work done to it.... it is totally filled with die scratches, abrasions, polishing as can be expected with trying to get rid of an unwanted mint mark.

Sorry, but I have no photos at this time. Anyone else find any of these? How rare is this variety? I have not heard any more mention of these since the article in Numismatic News.
