ANRarities auction acquisition

caitlincaitlin Posts: 858 ✭✭✭
Here's a sweet Buff I just picked up from the ANRarities auction. An ms63 1923-s Buff that has an ms64 look. I'll be sending this coin into PCGS in hopes of an upgrade.imageimage

  • Nice purchase. I thought the coin was a 64 but got busy and didn't get to the auction to execute my bid. Congratulations on getting a nice coin.

Thanks for the kinds words and I'm glad you were to busy to make the auction early as I know you would have bid against me and I wouldn't have posted this thread.

That is a real choice looking coin!

You state that this coin was graded 63, but once upon a time 63 meant a choice BU coin!

This would not be crippled in a 64 holder.

Those 23-S in this lovely mint state are not exactly easy to find.

Really nice, caitlin! Looks worthy of a 64 to me.

New collectors, please educate yourself before spending money on coins; there are people who believe that using numismatic knowledge to rip the naïve is what this hobby is all about.

    Caitlin. Quit your whining!

The only one who deserves pity is me!

Seriously, you usually go after higher grade stuff, i.e. MS65+. I thought of you when I bookmarked this coin, but I figured I was safe since it was only graded MS63.

I guess I need to watch my back when you're around. Nothing is safe.
