1896 Canadian One Cent - Wide Date Or Far Six

bosoxbosox Posts: 1,562 ✭✭✭✭✭
Asked before inside another topic. I believe I have one but anybody got a photo, or reference to compare to? I know enough about Canadian large cents to really think so, just want photo verification. TIA.

Heritage - register online and then you can access the Permanent Auction Archives.

I checked "Canada" and "1896" but no varieties popped up.....just the Belzberg stuff!! image

Keep this bumped to the top (TTT), and some of those Canucks will happen along. There's also a Canadian Forum; anyone have the link offhand?

    Welcome!

Thanks. Canadian Coin News actually publishes prices for the variety, but Charlton doesn't list it, so it's relatively new.

P.S. I think mine is around 64, so I'm REALLY interested.

Any idea how to find it, 'cause I searched the messages before I asked?

The above was taken from Brian Smith's Canadian Coin Reference Site linked by Brad. Do a search for:

    << <i>The 1996 Far 6 Large cent >>

and you will get to the correct thread. Note: make sure you copy the above exactly, it was mistypo as 1996. The discussion follows over there.

Thanks guys. Mine looks exactly like the right two photos. Does not have the die break shown in the left photo.
