1959 Topps FB Registry Set

To all 1959 FB set collectors

Beware - I've just begun my set and my goal is to be #1!!! Big plans w/ such a limited budget image I'm interested in any centered PSA 8 or 9 cards - so please approach me w/ offers or the other collectors can drop me a line and tell me how I'll never catch up to them....

I love this board...

Regards,

Good luck to ya. '59 has great player selection and is a workable size, and there are a good number of high-grade examples out there. Should be fun.

Thanks guys!!! I started to really appreciate the set after I bought a cello pack from the BB Card Kid. I pulled three 9's from the pack!!! I pulled a beautiful Mitchell rookie also - but it would probably bring a 8 or 9 oc. Do either of you have one of the 59 topps sets in the registry? I like to know my competition....

  • Greg M.,

Welcome! I'm working on that set as well. Between my three sets, I haven't been able to keep that one as updated as I would like but the singles seem to be available. Mostly in 8, 9's are a little bit harder but they pop up every now and then. I look forward to watching your progress. Recently, there was someone buying 9's for $200 to $300 a pop that book for $75 to $125. I don't know if he/she is on the registry or not. Best of Luck! image

From what i have seen, the '59's don't usually go much higher than the current SMR, and that goes for the rookies as well. Shouldn't be to tough to put this set together. Great looking set too.

    Best of luck,
    Jason

  • Jason,

This Bobby Lane closed at more than 200% of SMR ($225.00 in the July SMR). It's not as easy as you might think. Looks like someone else likes this set as well. image
