A very pretty 1951 dime. I needed pliers to pry this one from onlyroosies clenched hands!

Onlyroosies was a true gentleman when we transactioned on this gorgeous NGC graded dime. Maybe, someday PCGS might like it too?

Nice toning, doesn't cover up the details, adds to it.

Oreville, That was one of my favorites from my original NGC/PCGS Roosie set. I held
onto that one until I could find a good home for it, and a good home it has. That coin
is all there and as nice as your photos are you just have to hold it to appreciate it.
Thanks for posting it. I could stare at it all day, and if you do ever decide to let her go
I would like to be first in line.

Bushmaster, I owned that coin since 1992 when I beat out rainbowroosie for it
in a Teletrade Auction. Back then He and I were the only ones Buying NGC MS68 Roosies.
I had it reholdered when NGC started there Full Torch program.

Nick bought it by mistake -- it had "eye appeal" -- once he had a decent coin he did not know what to do with it!!!!imageimageimageimageimage

I forgot... There was a short stretch of about 6 months or so when I sold my set to
Colorfulcoins. About a half dozon coins were sold off separately, Craig rebuilt the
set and sold it back to me and I continued to build it up from there.

    OOOOHHHH LA LA!
    Prost!

Why step over the dollar to get to the cent? Because it's a 55DDO.

Lest anyone of you feels jealous of my purchasing this dime (back in February 2004) just remember that this is the only Roosevelt silver dime that I will own for my type set.

That is one of the nice things about the type set. Just one. Sure it costs a little more but just one.

Collectors starting out can do the same thing. Just one of each major series which does stretch the dollars quite a bit!

    Cool. image

As onlyroosies noted, I owned that coin for awhile and I was the one that got the "*" added to the coin - a VERY deserved star too!

Nick, BTW, there was also one other NGC MS68 Teletrade bidder waaaaaaay back them - Mike R. I think he had the world's largest collection of UGLY NGC MS68 dimes <grin>.....

Three of Colorfulcoins best roosies are now in my set......Unlike Nick, Craig will deliberately buy a roosie with eye appeal!!!!!imageimageimageimage
