Best way to remove tape residue off of this Peace?

Any suggestions on how to remove just the tape residue off of this Peace? I was going to try Goo Gone on a q-tip but was wondering if it would affect the darker toning that was not taped.

Thanks ahead

Acetone will do the trick. 100% pure acetone.

Edited to say: Brought to you by the makers of acetone "coin collector's choice." We thank this board for the steady sales you give us.

They probably taped it to a board or to a piece of paper. I've seen tape used in many imaginative ways on coins.

Some of my stuff was taped to my baby book. Several old dollar bills, a 50 cent piece and a Susan B were all taped to various pages.
