Set Registry article in August SMR

I'd like to be the first to say congrats to our very own Alan Allen(Joe) for having his article published in the August SMR. It's a great read on a mostly overlooked subject, Key Card Sets. There's even some quotes from me and fabfrank!!lol

Maybe this will bring even more competition to the Football Key Card sets, which will only make our football collector fraternity stronger.

Thanks Joe!

Thanks Jason. I never heard back from Joe O. when I e-mailed in the story, so I assumed he had rejected it. This is a nice surprise image.

Was there (ahem) remuneration involved, or was that article a freebie? Not asking amounts, just wondering if there was a reward given.

It was pro bono. I would however accept any of the cards on page 2 or 3 as payment image. It was fun to write though, and was published without one word being edited.

  • Very nice article Joe. I was surprised too when I saw it in the SMR. I felt you should have gotten a little more credit in the article for your All-Time Rushers set. LMK when you decide to do another. I would be pleased to participate again.

Okay, I still haven't gotten my August issue.
Looks like our postman must be a Football Key Card set fan.

Tried to buy one at the newstand, but they said some guy named AlanAllen
had bought up all their copies so he could give them out as gifts at Christmas.

Any chance you could e-mail me a copy of the article Joe ? image

I just recieved mine today so keep the faith to those who haven't gotten it yet. Great article, I hope it pumps up the number of sets. The more the merrier.
