AAAAAARRRRGGHHH!! Consistency is that to much to ask.

Why do they have and use two different type of holders for the same card? My 1st set of Callahans came back in this type of holder:

Yet I get This: (will provide scan when I get home just had to post while it was on my mind) Where the card "is loose" in the holder with a "plastic bag". WTF?

I'm guessing the card was slightly oversized and would not fit in the smaller holder. They do this with post 1956 Topps cards when they are oversized. They use the 1952-56 style holder and put the card in a mylar sleeve. I don't like this either but I'm not sure what the alternative would be.

That sucks Aknot, that first holder looks nice. I am not a fan of the mylar bags either. They just look half-a$$ed IMO. maybe you can call and ask what the deal was? Maybe they ran out of the one holders or maybe, like the other poster said, it was just a bit oversized and didn't fit. Maybe you can give it to one of the known card dr's and get it trimmed to fit, then you'll get a new holder and probably a better grade to boot!

    ONLY KIDDING KIDDING OF COURSE!!!
