Toning question.

Once a silver coin starts to tone in a grey color does that mean it has no chance of becoming colorful or can the grey color change over time to blue or some other color?

From what I understand, it will tone the same way and not change into a colorful tone.

If it is toning to grey and not to a silver color (yes silver is part of the toning spectrum and easily noticeable on copper coins) then the only color you're likely to see after is black. You shouldn't see any nice colors after a grey toning starts. Post a pic.
