Across The Street

Over here, Across the Street means over there. Over there, Across the Street means back over here. Okay then, where's the physical location of this street? The Mississippi River? I'd really like to know who came up with this unique way of not saying each other's name. It's kind of odd being here and not referring to NGC and going over there, oops, across the street and not saying PCGS. Sometimes I forget even where I started! If I click on enough links, I can jump back and forth across the street all day. What do ANACS and ICG people use, "Those people"??? Jerry

Across the street refers to their message boards, not to the service. So ANACS and ICG don't enter in to it since they don't have message boards.

I think ICG has a message board, but I haven't verified. Also, I wonder how we refer to the other message boards like RCC, and a few others whose names I no longer remember? And, what do the folks over there refer to these message boards?

Maybe ICG should be referred to ICG instead of us dancing around being direct.
Otherwise if continuing with this 'standard', refer to ICG as 'up the street' or 'down the street'???

Well, that's a pretty good idea. I guess "down the street", so we can be "up the street" I'd still like to know who came up with it. If someone doesn't claim it, I'm going to patent the saying "across the street" and charge people for tickets when they want to go visit each other !!! Jerry

Over on other forums, we have very cryptic codes for the grading service forums...

We usually call this one the "PCGS Forums" and the other one we call..."The NGC Boards".

Crazy, I know. It probably has something to do with the fact that the other forums are not run by competing grading services. Just a guess.
