What's your experience in the Buff. series? PCGS vs. NGC grading standards.....equal, -1 point, -2 points?? Input is appreciated since I am just starting into this series and buying raw coins is dangerous these days!!!. Thanks, Chris

The tough part is figuring out all the little grading nuances for the different dates that have differrent striking characteristics in the series.
The only certification difference you will encounter is the upper echelon of grading, where many buyers will prefer the pcgs slabbed coin, as opposed to the ngc slabbed coin.
For mint state coins up to ms/66, either holder should be ok.
Plenty of dogs in all grades, from both services, so wait for the good ones!

I prefer PCGS because I like the look of the slabs (silly reason I know). However, BigD5 is right in my opinion. NGC and PCGS are fairly equal with this series.
View the Heritage archives and compare the S and D mints of the late teens and twenties to help your evaluation. The prices for these dates (PCGS vs NGC) usually reflect the grading standard differences.
