Just got the B&M Baltimore auction catalog. Love that Jim Gray NC Collection stuff. Elwood, roadrunner, etc., you guys are going to be drooling on this one.
One surprising thing - Jim Gray (anybody know him?) put together a complete Seated Dime series of mostly AU and lower grade MS coins. Then, he tops it off with the 1873-CC No Arrows Dime (pop 1, last coin in Eliasberg's set) at $632,500!

I believe that this might be the same James Gray that writes articles (extensively) for the LSCC Gobrecht Journal publication. Anyone care to confirm this? If it is the same pesron, he REALLY knows his coins. By looking at his articles, he might be one of the most knowledgeable in the series.

How do you know for sure those BIG DOG coins are his?? FYI, they are CATALOGUED that way, but they are not his...
This is the same Jim Gray to which you refer, the same who has contributed so many articles to the GJ.

If I had it my way, stupidity would be painful!
<< <i> I was pretty sure it wasn't the same Jim Gray that continually makes an a$$ of himself on NBC sports. >>
If I ever meet that a$$, I'll be sure to lay a perfect form tackle on his sorry a$$. Biggest jacka$$ in the sports media world......PIMP!!
NOW, FWIW. That would be a cool undertaking to do a date run of those dimes........
