I just bought a morgan from Ken Barlow. With the morgan came an elogated cent with his company logo on it, KBAC! Pretty neat extra IMO. It may start a collecting trend in me!!

The world's fair piece is an especially nice example of one of the most common early elongates.

I said some mean things recently about elongated cents. I am going to try to make it up to collectors of same. The National Aquarium in Baltimore has a machine.(I believe with four different design choices.) If a board member wants one, I will send him one at a dollar a piece.(the machine is two quarters for the priviledge + cent for the elongation)+my postage. Please PM me if you are interested. I cannot wait to see if anyone wants one of these things.

  • That is extremely cool. I would love to have that one.
  • Also, I only have 4 enlongated cents. None are special, except this one. I can only assume this was my grandfathers when he was in WWI. As to weather it's a wheat cent or an indian head, I don't know. The back of it shows no detail.

You can view the pic here, and it is 881x1561, and 178 kB. The pic is big for a reason.
