I bet they never make any real impact. Their website doesn't really convince me that they have enough money or sophistication.

Weird- you click on their link for coins on their website, and they tell you how they grade cards on a scale of 1-10. You click on their link for their ebay auctions ( image ) and it sends you on a search for the word "gem" on ebay....
    Something smells a little lame......

I get the same thing. But they do have a address showing they are located in Bristol IN. Anybody from around there know anything?

  • Clicking on "About US" gets you a "Under Construction" page.
    Pretty pitiful.

Looks like they are just starting up, or maybe not even open yet.

    We'll see.

Wow, they're from Mt. Laurel. I'm a few blocks from Normandy Dr.. I'll have to check this place out.image
What is money, in reality, but dirty pieces of paper and metal upon which privilege is stamped?

I'd imagine if someone wanted to make a run of taking a market share of the grading fees they'de buy out SEGS along with many of their overgraded coins on the market, and tighten up, allowing the collecting public to become aware of your new standards, and then treat your customers with honestly and integrity.

I'd think within two years of this business plan the word would be out and you'de be on your way to making a fair and healthy profit.

Sounds like a wannabe that never managed to get started. Nothing in the site seems to date after 2002, the last update in the whois is over a year old and they have never been heard of in all that time in coins. (They may have been involved in sports cards I don't know.) I also note that although in the whois they are listed in Mt Laural NJ, the contact address in the website is in Bristol IN.
  • They're best known for sports card grading. Kind of like the "SGS" of the card world. Most everything magically grades "GEM 10".

I wouldn't be surprised if the seller is the slabber here. He's in Mt Laurel, NJ which is a Phila suburb. Guess where this seller lives.
