Today I learned a Valuable Lesson!!!

Man am I Pi$$ed!!! As some of you know I am starting a Fisk Basic PSA set in 9 and 10's. Today I learned a valuable lesson. There was a PSA 10 1984 Topps card on ebay. Starting bid was $35 with a "Buy-It-Now" of $45. I did not use the BIN and ended up getting sniped with 2 seconds to go.
Now I normally snipe myself but I have been picking up Fisk 10's pretty easily and I figured that there was not much demand.
I'm just so mad at myself for being stupid!!!!!!:l:l:l:l:l:l:l:l
I am just venting because as you all know I should have just bought the darn card for the extra ten bucks and been happy. Now I sit at work pi$$ed because I won't be adding that 10 to my set anytime soon.
I know the card is not that rare and there will be plenty more, but you know how we all are addicted to this registry.
Next Time I will just BIN and feel Happy that I got it.
ugh,
Glen

Been there; I feel your pain.
I'm always looking to make the best deal, and I've lost cards that closed higher than the BIN. I ask myself the extra question now: Am I willing to lose this card rather than pony up the BIN?

Oh Well
I hear yah. Right now I feel so stupid. The card was only a lousy $45 bucks, but did I BIN, NO! Because my friend, I am an idiot.
Deep Breaths, Deep Breaths.
I offed the buyer $55 but was turned down,
sigh, sigh, weep, weep,
Glen
In cases where the opening bid is just a few dollars short of the Buy It Now, my logic has always been....If I plan to bid/snipe that amount anyway, I'll just use the BIN, and get the card w/o a battle and get it earlier then the full run of the auction. If I don't plan to bid that much, I just bid the opening bid and hope for the best, if I win it, then I save a few $ and I won the gamble. If I lost it, no problem as it wasn't meant to be...jay

I know I was stupid on this.
I thought my first bid would win this because I have not noticed allot of demand for these 80's Fisks. This brilliant move took away the BIN. When I was out bid with a day to go I figured I would just throw in one more bid back up to the BIN thinking any snipe would not go that high. For a lousy tem bucks I really messed up my day because I just feel stupid.
I know there will be more of these 10's out there in the future but to quote Varuca Salt, "I want it Now"!
Now Jay, Since I am pissed at the Fisk Basic set, why not sell me some PSA 7, 1954 topps cards for a deal to make me feel better.
Thanks,
Glen

...the beatings will continue until a suitable '84 Fisk is found.
After all, it's just a card. Things could be a lot worse....

I got one! Side deal comes through for same price!
Now Jay, about those 1954 Topps in 7................
PM me, maybe we can work something out.
Thanks all for letting me vent,
Glen
I also have a nice PSA-9 JOE BLACK currently running on eBay, which I'm sure would fit nicely in your collection ...jay
