What is this?

I just closed a deal buying a company. My partner knows I collect coins and gave me about 10 pounds of coins that were in the family safe. It was a very thoughful gesture... and required special charm getting through airport security.

The coins have a good pedigree...
His Mom used to be the personal assistant to Jackie Kennedy (right after Jack's assassination.) Some coins also came from an abandonded file cabinet in the home they bought in a nice part of Connecticut. Mostly circulated world coins, but some real surprises too. A GSA Morgan, several others, lots of silver, a 1819 coin I'm reaseching, and this...

It's gold in appearance. No reason to believe it's fake.
Thanks for the help

I have no confidence in it being genuine at all.
    But what do I know?

It being a fake wouldn't hurt my feelings. It was just one item in a bunch.

I don't know if it's a token, coin, medal, etc. I did not want to take it anywhere without some clue.
Did the Romans make coins in this style? Any good reference sties?

    Thanks,

It would appear to be a token. Certainly, it's not ancient and appears to be cast.
