Very interesting finds

My father died in 1985 when he did many of his things were boxed up and sent to me. I never opened any of the boxes for personal reasons. Well, today I finally opened one of the two boxes with my father's things and found some very interesting items. I found quite a bit of WWII items he looted when in Europe one of them being a German side arm....yes a Luger. It was inside one of those old royal crown cloth bags and seems to be in very good condition. There were his medals, German medals, pictures and COINS!!!
The coins were in a coin purse type case. Here is a sample of what I found:

1943 British half crown-looks AU
1928 Free state Irish Penny - XF
1928 Free state Irish half penny-XF
1934 German 5 mark coin (potsdam chruch) VF/XF
1936 5 mark (Hindenburg) XF and looks like someone started to put a hole on it but never finished.
1939 2Pf AU/UNC
1941 5Pf AU

I was pleased at finding the Irish free state coins. Now I am only two coins short if finishing my 1928 set. It was a very interesting morningimage
Cheers,
Mike
